The Capitol region’s premiere holiday book event is back for the 40th year! The National Press Club Journalism Institute is once again partnering with landmark local book seller Politics & Prose for a night of pols, pundits and prose.
Authors will be on hand to talk to their fans and sign books at this most exciting literary event. Patrons can browse for books at the Club’s headquarters from 5:30 to 8:30 p.m. Tickets are $5 for NPC and Politics & Prose members; $10 public. Tickets will also be sold online and at the door.

Harvard Book Store welcomes award-winning novelist and Johns Hopkins University professor Alice McDermott—author of Pulitzer Prize finalists That Night, At Weddings and Wakes, and After This—for a discussion of her latest novel, The Ninth Hour. Alice will be joined in conversation by fellow novelist Margot Livesay, author of, most recently, The Flight of Gemma Hardy and Mercury.
Alice will read and sign copies of her new novel The Ninth Hour. This event is free to attend with no reservation required. Seating is available on a first come, first served basis.
